Her debut CD "Wild Thing In Me" was an apt name for the high-energy entertainment of Gail Gardner. Taking her audiences by storm with her own feisty country rock, Gail's powerful voice sparkles with her warmth and fun personality. As demonstrated in 1999 by her return for the second year to the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, she can deliver a performance that is fresh and original!
Gail grew up in the BC interior and has lived for the past number of years with her husband Cam on their cattle ranch in the serene and beautiful hills of Southern Alberta. " This country gives a person the ability to open their mind. develop goals and accomplish them. " However, you won't find this busy gal at home much. In addition to her singing career, Gail owns and operates her own landscaping company and is an avid sportsperson.
Gail's wide variety of activities bring a rich tapestry of experience to the stage; belting out her songs with humour and a down-to-earth understanding of life. For Gail, songs like "This Wall" and "I've Been There Too" provide a vehicle to connect with people. "All of us have regrets, and suffer at times from feelings of inadequacy." Sympathizes Gail. Still other songs such as her 2001 single "Wild Thing In Me" "are just good fun." She laughs. "Wild Thing In Me" is one of Gail's favorites as it reminds her of "When Cam and I first met…. And how it still is for us."
Entertaining audiences since she was twelve years old, Gail began entering talent shows, and winning. This led to engagements in night clubs. In 1996 she formed her own band "Reatta", playing for dances, night spots, pro rodeo venues and special events. "I love the excitement of a crowd." Exclaimed Gail following a weekend engagement at the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede.
In 2001 the title track "Wild Thing In Me", from her debut album, has received airplay on various AM/FM radio stations throughout Canada. Gail also performed at the Scott's Tournament of Hearts, in Prince George, BC, with such noted Canadian artists as McQueen, Shania Twin and Curtis Grambo. A "Dynamic" and "Spirited" new talent, watch for Gail in up coming shows at Superb Canadian Festivals and Events! |
