The "KAREN SINGLE BAND" has been together and actively performing their original blend of hard rock and pop music for the last 4 years. Performing at numerous festivals, out door concerts and nightclubs, they've shared the stage with numerous well known bands such as EDWIN, I MOTHER EARTH, BIG SUGAR, 54/40, ALANNAH MYLES, PRISM, LEE AARON, HEADPINS, WIDE MOUTH MASON, JERRY LEE LEWIS, BLUE OYSTER CULT, HELIX, FIREHOUSE, CHILLIWACK, PAT TRAVERS, APRIL WINE, MOIST, LIMBLIFTER, FILTER, BARNEY BENTALL, DOUG & THE SLUGS, GLASS TIGER, THE WATCHMEN, STONEBOLT, CCR, RHYMES WITH ORANGE, HEADSTONES, TROOPER, MATTHEW GOOD BAND, NICKLEBACK, STEPPENWOLF, Plus many more. Their first album " WIDE OPEN" is based on a three album concept and show and is getting rave reviews right across Canada. (Album #2 is currently in pre-production). Their unique sound is reminsant of the 80's rock, yet is refreshingly new. Excellent musicianship and totally versatility accompany their high-energy show. They continue to tour full-time across Canada with plans to expand their market internationally in the new year. The band has their own PA and Light system including specialty lighting effects and a smoke machine. |

KAREN SINGLE Karen is a multi-talented ARTIST who has all the ingredients for stardom. Her undeniable talents are easily witnessed during her high-energy performances as she captivates her audiences with versatility in her vocal abilities and musicianship on guitar and keyboards. Before leading the KAREN SINGLE BAND, she toured and performed with numerous "A" circuit and original bands throughout Canada and NWT. (Snow White, Excalibur, DejaVu, to name a couple) Her talents extend to the concept album, "WIDE OPEN" as not only creator of the 3-album story line, but also producing. She's developed a strong stage presence full of dynamics, and likeable charisma. A classically trained, a sought-after keyboard player she is just as comfortable in the studio as she is on stage. With a trunk full of songs deemed to be HITS, and a vision, It's no wonder the industry is excited. ATTILA "NOVI" NOVAK "Novi is a Canadian-Hungarian guitar virtuoso / composer / producer / engineer with over 15 years of experience, including extensive touring throughout Europe, Germany and Canada. He founded Hungary's first "official" speed metal band, "VASMACSKA" (as recorded in the 1988 ROCK LEXICON) at the age of 15 and his first record deal was signed at age 17. His wide recognition as a seasoned performer and showman were seen in the Vancouver bands known as "Citizen Cane", "Uncle Sid" and "Taltos". He names Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Schenkner as influences. TREVOR ANDRES Trevor's talents go beyond his job as a bass player. He performed with Barely Legal from Manitoba. He has played in numerous Vancouver bands for over 10 years. DARRELL MAYES This well known local legend who has performed with the likes of Prism, Powder Blues, Colin James, and so many more recording artists.
