His Story
John started playing piano against his wishes at age 6 and quickly skipped through the conservatory levels. His next forced music lessons came in the form of trumpet lessons and played in the Kitsilano Boys Band for many years. During this time he started noodling on the guitar. After a time playing the tuba in high school orchestras and playing in pit orchestras he started playing in local garage and ethnic bands. John played in the local circuit band Jade for many years. Since 1986 John has played solo or in a duo (Jeopardy) with Dave Fromager.
