REVOLVER

THE WORLD'S BEST BEATLES SHOW

Thirty years ago THE BEATLES invaded North America and then the world. They won us over with their charm and took captive of our hearts. They electrified our lives at a time when we needed something. They gave us style, wit and some of the best songs ever written. THE BEATLES meteoric rise to worldwide acclaim is still remembered as the most exciting phenomenon in musical history.

REVOLVER is a staged musical play in two acts that first re-creates the frenzy of Beatlemania through the power of the music and their immense personal charm and then carries on to present the full intrigue of their incredible story. REVOLVER performs nearly forty of THE BEATLES' greatest hits beginning with their first single release, "LOVE ME DO" and closing with their last hit record, "LET IT BE".

Act I is presented in black & white and begins with an introduction by Ed Sullivan himself. With the support of video footage, costume changes and informative narration we follow THE BEATLES from Liverpool, England to America and the world. We hear how their music develops from simple pop songs into sophisticated works of art. We travel with them and experience their grueling touring schedule until they succumb to the rigors of the road and announce their last live concert performance at Candlestick Park in San Francisco August 29, 1966.

Act II burst into the psychedelic era with the greatest rock & roll album ever made, "SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEATS CLUB BAND". Suddenly, the stage explodes with colour and dazzling video effects. REVOLVER appears in the famous costumes and presents uncanny live reproductions of the sensational songs from the 'Summer of Love'. We are reminded of THE BEATLES studio genius and the close association their music had with mysticism and spiritualism. But the innocent euphoria of this time does not last forever. THE BEATLES are hounded by the press and grow weary of their fame. THE BEATLES story ends with the anthem, "LET IT BE" but the memory of the loveable moptops from Liverpool and the legacy of their music make THE BEATLES one of the biggest selling acts in today's market with those who were there and with teenagers who are discovering them all over again.

REVOLVER is theatre with a beat that won't stop. It is an emotional story set to the unforgettable melodies of the most popular songs ever written. The REVOLVER show inspires the same innocent hysteria generated by THE BEATLES in the sixties. The world's enthusiasm for THE BEATLES lives on today, as it was yesterday. When you have seen REVOLVER you know you have seen the best.

The REVOLVER show is adaptable to theatrical performances, conventions, show-clubs and outdoor concerts at exhibitions and special events.

REVOLVER was formed in 1986 as a live attraction at Vancouver's EXPO '86 World's Fair. The response was so overwhelming that REVOLVER has continued to perform year after year and, in fact, has now actually been together longer than THE BEATLES themselves! REVOLVER is considered to be the "BEST BEATLES SHOW IN THE WORLD!"
